padani tasyakhila-loka-pala-

kirita-justamala-pada-renoh

dadarsa gosthe ksiti-kautukani

vilaksitany abja-yavankusadyaih

SYNONYMS

padani -- the footprints; tasya -- of Him; akhila -- all; loka -- of the planets; pala -- by the superintendents; kirita -- upon their crowns; justa -- placed; amala -- pure; pada -- of His feet; renoh -- the dust; dadarsa -- he (Akrura) saw; gosthe -- in the cow pasture; ksiti -- the earth; kautakani -- wonderfully decorating; vilaksitani -- distinguishable; abja -- by the lotus; yava -- barleycorn; ankusa -- elephant goad; adyaih -- and so on.

TRANSLATION

In the cowherd pasture Akrura saw the footprints of those feet whose pure dust the rulers of all the planets in the universe hold on their crowns. Those footprints of the Lord, distinguished by such marks as the lotus, barleycorn and elephant goad, made the ground wonderfully beautiful.
