SYNONYMS
tesam -- of them; virya -- with their power; mada -- by the intoxication; andhanam -- blinded; drptanam -- proud; smaya -- the arrogance; nuttaye -- to dispel; anita asi -- you were taken in marriage; maya -- by Me; bhadre -- good woman; tejah -- the strength; upaharata -- removing; asatam -- of the wicked.
TRANSLATION
It was to dispel the arrogance of these kings that I carried you away, My good woman, for they were blinded by the intoxication of power. My purpose was to curb the strength of the wicked.
