SYNONYMS

sri-sukah uvaca -- Sukadeva Gosvami said; sa -- she; evam -- thus; bhagavata -- by the Supreme Personality of Godhead; rajan -- O King; vaidarbhi -- Queen Rukmini; parisantvita -- fully pacified; jnatva -- understanding; tat -- His; parihasa -- spoken in jest; uktim -- words; priya -- by her beloved; tyaga -- of rejection; bhayam -- her fear; jahau -- gave up.

TRANSLATION

Sukadeva Gosvami said: O King, Queen Vaidarbhi was fully pacified by the Supreme Personality of Godhead and understood that His words had been spoken in jest. Thus she gave up her fear that her beloved would reject her.
