SYNONYMS

mumucuh -- they released; pushpa -- of flowers; varshani -- rain; hate -- having been killed; pape -- the sinful; vrika-asure -- demon Vrika; deva-rishi -- the celestial sages; pitri -- departed forefathers; gandharvah -- and singers of heaven; mocitah -- freed; sankatat -- from danger; sivah -- Lord Siva.

TRANSLATION

The celestial sages, Pitas and Gandharvas rained down flowers to celebrate the killing of sinful Vrikasura. Now Lord Siva was out of danger.
